Charles Walter Simonsen 1883-1943

Charles Walter Simonsen was born on January 29, 1883 at Aaburg, Denmark, the son of Carl Lauritiz Simonsen and Marie Katherine Fabeansen.

Mr. Simonsen came to America with his parents and five brothers and sisters. He was only eight months old when they arrived in America. They came directly to Avoca, where Mr. Simonsen attended the local school. for some years he farmed in the state of Utah, then came back to Avoca and pursued the profession of paper hanging and painting for the remainder of his life.
