Mrs. Marie Kuhl
AVOCA—Mrs. Marie Kuhl, 50, died at a Des Moines hospital Friday after a short illness of pneumonia. She is survived by her husband, Franklin of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Cleta Nelson of San Antonia, Texas and Mrs. Kenneth burke of Avoca; two sons: Eldred, who is stationed in the navy, and LeRoy, who is a private in the signal corps of the army.

Kuhls operated a mercantile business in Avoca for several years. Since Mrs. Kuhl was a native of Defiance, Iowa, burial was there Monday morning after services at 9 am at the Defiance Catholic church.
