James Otto Garrison
(March 13, 1874 - November 26, 1942)

Funeral services were held at the home of Carl Rogers Saturday at 2:30 for James O. Garrison, 68, a stone mason, who died of a paralytic stroke November 26. The Rev Ivan C. Bachtell officiated and burial was in Graceland cemetery here.

Mr. Garrison, a native of Belle Plains, Indiana married Cora Anstene 49 years ago and they reared thirteen children in this community. Mrs. Garrison and five of the children, having preceded him in death.

Surviving him are: Earl and Daniel Garrison of council Bluffs, Frank and Cora of Avoca, James of Woodward, Mrs. Dolly butterbaugh of Shelby, and Mrs. Rudolph Schueman and Mrs. Barbara Rogers of Avoca.
