In Memory: Earline Mathews

Funeral for former Council Bluffs resident Earline E. Mathews, 86, of Lakewood, Colorado, was held Monday at Cutler Chapel.

Mrs. Mathews died January 23 in Lakewood.

She was born in 1916 to henry C. and Annette (Lewis) Wilson of Conception Junction, Missouri.

She moved to Council Bluffs in 1951. Mrs. Mathews was a homemaker. She worked for the Kitty Clover Co. for 20 years.

Her husband, Donald K. “Bud” Mathews, died in 1997.

Survivors include four daughters, Inez Harvey, of Lakewood, Lynn Logan and husband, David, of McClelland, Teena Dodge, of Omaha and Chris Bequette and husband, Dennis, of Columbus, Nebraska; a son, John Porter and wife, Carol, of Council Bluffs; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Ridgewood Mausoleum.
