In Memory: Helen Douglass

Graveside services for Helen B. Douglass, 89, of Azle, Texas was held Monday at 10 A. M. at the Randolph Cemetery with the Rev. Darlene Fletcher officiating.

Mrs. Douglass died January 23 at the Ale Nursing Center following an extended illness.

She was born May 31, 1912, in Shelby to Urea Slaughter and Oliver (Miller) Slaughter. She attended school in Shelby. She moved to the Ft. Worth, Texas, area in 1978. She was an active member in the Eastern Star having been a past worthy matron of Randolph crown Chapter No. 439 and a former member of the First United Methodist Church of Randolph. She was currently a member of Lake Worth Chapter No. 1109 O.E.S. in Texas.

Mrs. Douglass was preceded in death by here husband, Russell E.; and a daughter, Ginger Bettie.

Survivors include one son, Joe A., of Azle; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The Crawfored-Marshall Funeral Chapel in Tabor and Biggers Funeral home in Ft. Worth was in charge of arrangements.
