James McDermott
(May 7, 1878 - September 23, 1942)

Funeral services for James McDermott, 64, who died at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Wednesday will be held at 9 am Saturday at St. Mary’s church in Avoca with the Rev. V.D. Cashman officiating.

Mr. McDermott, a native of Missouri, grew to manhood at Avoca, later moving to Sioux Falls, where he engaged in the plumbing business as a contractor. He is survived by his wife, Nora of Sioux Falls, and a son, Cyril of Des Moines, a brother, Thomas McDermott of Walnut.
