Mrs. Lene Thies

Mrs. Lene Thies, pioneer resident of Pottawattamie county, died late Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Green, at Avoca after a six month illness.

Mrs. Thies had lived on the same farm more than forty years, came here from Germany when she was 15.

She is survived by two other daughters: Mrs. Frank Siebels of Minden and Mrs. Henry Hamann of Avoca and Chris Thies of Minden

Services will be held Sunday at 1 pm from the home of Chris Thies and at 2 pm from the Congregational church at Minden with Rev. G. Bauman officiating.
