Peter Mark 1892-1945

Rev Joseph Gerlt officiated at funeral services for Peter Mark, 53, at the Blust Bros Funeral home in Avoca Sunday, July 7 at 3:30 pm.

Mr. Mark died on July 3 at Wilbur, Washington and was brought here for burial. He was born the son of Peter mark and his wife Elizabeth Anderson in Fairview township, Shelby county on September 22, 1892. He was 53 years, 9 months, and 11 days old at the time of his passing.

He lived in the Avoca community until about the end of World War I and for the past several years has been living on the West Coast.

He is survived by two sons: Gerald of Tacoma, Washington and Glen, serving in the US Navy; a daughter-in-law and a granddaughter; three sisters: Mrs. Mollie Johnson of Shelby; Mrs. Hilda Blust of Wisner, Nebraska; Mrs. Lena Julius of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers: Fred of Avoca and Carl of Harlan.
