Homer A. Shew
Homer Arthur Shew, 57, warehouse clerk for the Schoentgen Company, died Sunday evening following a heart attack. The emergency unit was called to his home at 1401 high Street. He was administered oxygen enroute to Mercy hospital.. He was pronounced dead on arrival there.
He was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian church.
Surviors include his widow, Elnora; one daughter, Mrs. Leona Shippley of Council Bluffs; two sons: Alvin and Earl Shew of Council Bluffs; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Lacy of Council Bluffs; six sisters: Mrs. Ben Miller of Omaha, Mrs. John Hurd of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Alma Harrison of Stansbury, Missouri, Mrs. Frances Burley of St. Louis, Missouri, Mrs. Al Carlson of Chicago, Illinois, and Mrs. William Gutchon of Oregon; and two brothers, Bernard Shew of Hancock and Leslie Shew of Roseburg, California.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:30 pm at the Cutler chapel, with the Rev. Robert Howard officiating. Committal will be in Cedar Lawn cemetery.
