Kenneth Johnson

Kenneth Johnson, 16, was killed instantly when the truck he was driving left the road about four miles east of Walnut on Highway 83. The accident happened about 1 am Thursday morning.

Johnson is a former Avoca resident and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Johnson of Atlantic. The accident was discovered early Thursday morning by Carlton DeSchamp and Ronnie Rhodes of Avoca.

Johnson was driving his father’s cess pool cleaning truck and was alone at the time. Deputy Sheriff Bob Clark of Avoca investigated the accident.

The body was taken to an Atlantic mortuary. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
