Dorothy Ann Hinz Schulte 1922-1945

Rev. V. D. Cashman officiated at Requiem mass for Mrs. John W. Schulte Monday morning at 9:30 at St. Mary’s church in Avoca. Burial was in Graceland.

Mrs. Schulte, the former Dorothy Ann Hinz, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hinz of Avoca died at an Omaha hospital Thursday, September 20 of complications following an operation on Tuesday, September 11.

John Schulte Ships Cook 1/C on duty aboard a ship somewhere in the Pacific was unable to attend the funeral services of his wife. They were married at St. Mary’s church in Avoca a little over a year ago on September 12, 1944.

Mrs. Schulte was born on July 25, 1922 on the farm of her parents southeast of Avoca. She attended rural school and was graduated from the Avoca high school with the Class of 1940.

Services were also held for Mrs. Schulte Sunday afternoon at the Blust Bros. funeral home with Rev. Joseph Gerlt in charge.

She leaves to mourn her early death besides her husband, her parents, a brother Vernon, and her husbands parents Mr. and Mrs. William Schulte and family of Earling.
