Mrs. Bertha Wolf Greve Ingwersen 1876-1943
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Wolf Greve Ingwersen, 73, were held from the Blust-Berthusen funeral home Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Joseph Gerlt officiating. Mrs. Ingweresen died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Putman, Monday following a long illness. Burial was in Graceland cemetery.
Mrs. Ingwersen, a daughter of Henry Wolf and His wife Wilhelmina Ruege, was born November 17, 1876, in Germany. She came to this country with her parents at the age of 13.
On April 23, 1901, she was married to George Greve. They made their home in Avoca where Mr. Greve was a carpenter. This union was blessed with four children: Mrs. Ernest Putnam of Avoca; George of Hawthorne, California; Albert of Peoria, Illinois; another son Henry and her husband preceded Mrs. Greve in death. Other survivors are three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. George Sieh of Casey.
In the middle thirties Mrs. Ingwersen was married to Ingwer Ingwersen who preceded her in death in October of 1937.
