Funeral held at Macedonia for R. Scott

Funeral services for Richard F. Scott, 61, were held Monday at the Methodist Church in Macedonia. Mr. Scott died Friday in Council Bluffs after a lengthy illness.(He was the son of Cecil Clyde and Lulu Mickelwait and born in Glenwood.)

The Rev. J. Milton Kinney officiated with burial in Macedonia Cemetery. Bearers were Lloyd Ray, Mel Werner, Jack Smith, Art Fritcher, Darrell Achenbaugh and Don Smith.

Mrs. Elwood Mueller, Mrs. Earl Clymer and Mrs. Don Allensworth were in charge of flowers.

Mr. Scott had lived on the same farm two miles west of Macedonia since the age of four. The past ten years he had been living in Macedonia.

He was a past member of the Board of Education at Macedonia. A quarter horse breeder and he had served as a pickup man at rodeos.

Surviving are five sons: Richard, Max, Larry and Mark, all of Macedonia, Burl of Shelby; five grandchildren.

(Preceding him in death were his wives, Bernice Maude Rounds in 1931 and Thelma DeBolt in 1952)
