Requiem Mass on Friday Morning for Mrs. Doll

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Doll, 70, will be held at 9 am Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Avoca, Father Joseph Schulte will read the Requiem Mass and officiate at the graveside services.
Burial will be in the Avoca cemetery.
Rosary will be recited at 8 pm Thursday at the Berthusen Funeral Home in Avoca.
Mrs. Doll died early Tuesday at a Harlan hospital where she had been hospitalizes since Sunday. She had suffered a stroke.
She was born April 24, 1879, in Pleasant Township. She moved to Avoca in 1918 at the death of her husband.
She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Altar Society and a charter member of the Avoca Garden Club.
She is survived by three sons, Frank, Edwin and William, all of Avoca; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Luther, Santa Maria, California, Mrs. Ida Dunn, State College, Pennsylvania, Mrs. Irene Liebort, Seatle, Washington, and Mrs. Clara Kissick, Chevy Chase, Maryland.
She is also survived by two brothers, Frank and Clarence Gross and three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Sarvis, Mrs. Margaret Donaldson, and Mrs. Bessie Gustafsen, all of Avoca, and 12 grandchildren.
