Chris Gustafsen

Chris Gustafsen, 72, of Avoca died on Monday, April 7 at Myrtue memorial Hospital at Harlan. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 10, 1975, at the Berthusen-Knutson Funeral Home in Avoca with Pastor Harold Peterson officiating. Burial was at the Graceland cemetery in Avoca.

Gustafsen lived his entire life in the Avoca area and farmed in the area for a good many years. He was born on October 25, 1902 at Cass County, the son of Carl and Maren Andersen Gustafsen.
Survivors include: two bothers-Fred of Hawthorne, California and Carl of Council Bluffs; four sisters—Mrs. Chris (Christina) Christensen of Atlantic; Mrs. Ernest (Sarah) Jacobsen of Nebraska City, NE; Mrs. Harry (Lilly) Burgin of council Bluffs; Mrs. Leonard Elva Peters of Avoca and several nieces and nepehews.
Gustafsen was preceded in death by his parents, one brother (Daniel) and four sisters: Mrs. Harry (Lena) Wiese, Mrs. Detlef (Emma) Sorensen, Mrs. Harvey (Esther) Nelsen, and Mrs. George (Anna) Sarvis.
