Martha L. (Welton) Briggs, age 78, of Omaha, Neb., died on October 5, 2008, in Omaha.

Preceded in death by husband, A. Lyle Briggs; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Paul Kavanaugh of Weston, Fla., Roxanne and Dennis Pettit of Omaha; grandsons, Corey and Aaron Pettit of Omaha, Kevin Kavanaugh and wife Becca of Sunrise, Fla., Brian Kavanaugh and wife Barbi of Davie, Fla.; 9 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Friday, October 10th, at Faith Covenant Church, 8333 Fort St. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials will be directed by the family.
