Madge V. Mass, age 90, passed away October 8, 2008, at Northcrest Care.

Madge was born in Pacific Junction, Iowa, on September 9, 1918, to Clarence and Pearl (Moore) Vanderpool. She worked as supervisor of maintenance at Northcrest Care Center for 21 years. Madge married Fred Mass on August 24, 1935.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred; daughter, Delores S. Seefus; brother, Clifford Vanderpool; sisters, Barbara Scott, Lois Hansen, Gladys May, Geneva Kenning, Agnes Mass, Flossie Hansen, Lucille Ruckman, Darlene Cox.

Survivors include daughter, Norma Jean Taylor and husband Gerald of Las Vegas; 6 grandchildren, Jim Kilgore (Linda), Mike Kilgore, all Omaha, Jacquie Moore of Oakland, Iowa, June Gilmore and Nancy Ware both Las Vegas, Jill Mahramus (John) of Longwood, Fla.; 14 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; sister, Bessie Schmielau of Omaha; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services Tuesday 11:00 a.m. also at funeral home, Reverend Dave Fremstad, Officiant. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Family will direct memorials.
