In Memory: Helen K. Lewis

Helen K. Lewis, 66, of Neola died May 2 at home of cancer.

She was born February 27, 1936, in Neola to Max and Edna (Morgan) Barrier. She was a 1954 graduate of Neola High School. She was a homemaker and a member of Neola Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Lewis and her husband, John “Buzz”, were married April 15, 1956.

Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Kim Larsen, and husband, Mike, of Neola; two sons, Craig and wife, Mary, and Douglas and wife, Peggy, all of Council Bluffs; three brothers, Jack Barrier and wife, Pat, and Jim Barrier, all of Council Bluffs and Bill Barrier and wife, Connie, of Neola; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

The body has been cremated. There was no viewing. Memorial service was held Monday at 11 A.M. at Belford-O’Neill Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Sparr of Neola Presbyterian Church officiating.

Memorials may be offered to Helen’s Grandchildren Scholarship Fund.
