In Memory: Gertrude Anna Stuhr

Gertrude Anna Stuhr, 79, of Walnut died May 16 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

She graduated from Oakland Schools and attended licensed practical nurse school and was a licensed nurse at Southwest Iowa Medical Center in Council bluffs. She also was a private nurse for several years.

She was a member of the Oakland United Methodist Church and had been a member and leader in 4-H.

She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Carl Stuhr, who she married on October 15, 1935.

Survivors include three daughters, Beverly Schroeder and husband, Verne, of Minden, Barbara Falk of Omaha, Marsha Houser and husband, Darrell, of Carson; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation wit the family was held Monday evening at the Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland.

Funeral services were Tuesday at united Methodist Church in Oakland.
