In Memory: Robert R. Carlson

Robert R. Carlson, 79, of Neola died May 15 at Longview Nursing Home in Missouri Valley.

He was born October 17, 1922, in Neola to Ralph and Dora (Pogge) Carlson. He was a 1940 graduate of Neola High School. He was a farmer in rural Neola. He was a Neola Township Trustee for 32 years.

Mr. Carlson and his wife, Mildred (Driver), were married 56 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Connie Francluebbers and husband, Tony, of Dodge, Nebraska, and Jane Andersen and husband, Rich, of Sioux City; one son, Jim, and wife, Denise, of Neola; nine grandchildren; one great -grandson.

Visitation with the family was held Friday evening with a prayer service at Cutler Funeral Home. The funeral was held Saturday at 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home with the Rev. David Kuhnle of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Honey Creek. Burial was in Neola Township Cemetery.
