Gilbert Andrews

The funeral for Gilbert "Red" Andrews, 69, of Council Bluffs will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Belt officiating.

Mr. Andrews died Jan. 21 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

He was born in Cambridge, Md. He was a truck driver at Transportation. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, and daughter Julie.

Survivors include three sons, Gilbert Jr. and wife, Donna, of Malvern, Thomas and wife, Bobbie, of Troy, Ohio, and Harold of Kentucky; special friends, Cheryl Sturm, Ron Hoeft and Trina Hurswill; four grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Neb.
