Joanne H. Lefeber

HARLAN - The funeral for Joanne Helen Lefeber, 70, of Portsmouth will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Our Lady of Fatima in Portsmouth.

Mrs. Lefeber died Jan. 21 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born in Earling. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Earling. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Mary's Our Lady of Fatima in Portsmouth.

Mrs. Lefeber and her husband, Eugene, were married 49 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include three daughters, Diane Butler and husband, Tom, of Harlan, Julie McCool and husband, Bob, of Tennant and Kathy Keane and husband, Dick, of Panama; four sons, Dan and wife, Charlene, of Portsmouth, Randy of Dow City, Rick and wife, Janet, of Harlan and Kelly and wife, Jennifer, of Harlan; three sisters, Ella Marie Schwarte of Harlan, Viola Lahr of Dunlap and Jeanette Sandbothe and husband, Joe, of Council Bluffs; three brothers, James Frank and Owen Frank, both of Omaha, and Francis Frank and wife, Maria, of Las Vegas; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Wake service will be tonight at 7 at St. Mary's Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Portsmouth. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Portsmouth. Pauley Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.
