In Memory: Edna Hedegaard

Edna M. Hedegaard, 81, of rural Neola died May 24 at Indian Hills Nursing Center.

She was born November 2 1929, in crescent to Charles E. Ferris and Hulda J. Dennin. She was a homemaker and worked at Axelson Bakery in Council Bluffs. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Hedegaard was preceded in death by her husband, Paul O., in 1970.

Survivors include three sons, Alan and wife, Nancy, of Underwood, Larry and wife, Shirley, of Neola and Eddy and wife, Janet, of Underwood; two brothers, Charles Ferris of Missouri Valley and Glenn and wife, Sharon of Crescent; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Monday evening at Cutler Funeral Home. The funeral was held Tuesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jim Munson officiating. Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery with a luncheon following at the church.

Memorials may be offered to St. Paul’s Church and Diabetes Foundation.
