Audrey (Goodman) Wheeler died at her home October 17, 2002 at the age of 71. Cause of her death was: Ovarian Cancer.......7 years between onset and death ----- Pottawattamie County, IA Death Record Book 110 Page 239

Obituary copied from the Council Bluffs, Iowa Nonpariel dated Oct. 18, 2002:

Audrey K. Wheeler, 71, of Council Bluffs died Oct.17 at home.

She was born Aug. 16, 1931, in Dunlap to Lester Goodman and Bernice Madison. She graduated in 1950 from St. Francis High School. She worked for Pottawattamie County Motor Vehicles for 16 years and Council Bluffs Savings Bank for 12 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Queen of the Apostles Church and its Altar & Rosary Society.

Mrs. Wheeler and her husband, Bill L., were married 49 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Janet Gundlach, and husband, Don, of Council Bluffs; one son, Dennis, and wife, Marta, of Lincoln, Neb.; four sisters, Virginia Carberry, Bette Hunter, Ruth Messerli and husband, Paul, and Nadine Watson and husband, Walt, all of Council Bluffs; one brother, John Goodman, of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Rosary will be Sunday 5 p.m. followed by family visitation until 8 p.m. at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Queen of Apostles Church with the Rev. Dan Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.

Memorial may be offered to Queen of Apostles Church.
