OBITUARY
Copied from the Council Bluffs, Iowa Nonpariel dated Oct. 14, 1991:

Leslie H. Carberry, 71, 612 Fourth St., died Sunday at Mercy Hospital.

Mr. Carberry was born in Meltonville and lived in Council Bluffs for more than 40 years.

He worked for Vickers in Omaha for 25 years, retiring in 1979. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Eagles Aerie No. 104.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Grove and Jean Thomas of Council Bluffs, mother Tillie Carberry, Council Bluffs; one sister, Elaine Mattox, Council Bluffs; three brothers, Joseph, Gail and Harley, Council Bluffs; four grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McCurdy Funeral Home with Elders Tim and Tom Arnold of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post No. 737.

Memorial are suggested to the American Lung Association.
