The following Obituary for Mildred Madison, daughter of Charles C. Schroeder and Leanora "Nora" Leonard, is copied from The Council Bluffs, Iowa Nonpariel Newspaper dated April 18, 1969:

Mrs. Mildred Madison, 52, of Grandby, Mo., died at a Missouri hospital Thursday after a long illness.

She was the former Mildred Schroeder. A native of Council Bluffs she graduated in 1935 from Abraham Lincoln High School. During her senior year she held the title of “Miss Abraham Lincoln High School”.

Survivors include: husband, Harold; four daughters, Mrs. Bill Phelps of Wichita, Kan., Mrs. Ernest Fitzgerald of Guam, Mrs. Lyle Moore of Neosho, Mo., Mrs. Floyd Tyler of Hoplin, Mo; stepson, Dean Madison, of Laurel, Mr., stepdaughter, Mrs. Norma Jean Rogers of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Five sisters, Mrs. Frances Gregg, Mrs. Joyce Clark and Mrs. Charlene Morris, all of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Helen Van Syoc of Milo and Mrs. Louis Andersen of Valley, Neb.; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services and interment will be held Sunday at Grandby.
