Robert Hemmingsen died February 16, 1995 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was 81 years old at the time of his death and resided at Risen Son Christian Village. Cause of his death was: Coronary Artery disease; renal failure; congestive heart failure. A funeral Mass was held at Queen of Apostles Church.

The following Obituary is copied from the Council Bluffs, Iowa Nonpariel dated Feb. 16, 1995:

Robert J. Hemmingsen, 81, 3530 Ave. A, died Feb. 16 at Risen Son Christian Village.

Mr. Hemmingsen was a longtime Council Bluffs resident and was a retired self-employed carpenter.

He was a member of Queen of Apostles
Church, United Brotherhood of Carpenters
Union No. 444 and the Fraternal Order of
Eagles Aerie No. 28.

He was preceded in death by his wife,
Marjorie, in 1987.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary
Hemmingsen of Council Bluffs, and Linda
Porter of Glenwood; one son, Robert, of
Brighton, Colo.; one brother, James, of
Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren and
two great-grandchildren.

Service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Queen of Apostles Church, with the Rev. Daniel Kirby officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Wake service will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Beem-Belford Funeral Home.
