Adolph Thiel, 60 of Underwood, died Friday at an Omaha Hospital after an illness of three years.

A retired employe of the Rock Island Railroad, he was a member of Underwood Lutheran Church. He was a World War I veteran.

A native of Treynor, he lived there until moving to Underwood.

Survivors include: widow, Laura; two sons, Glenn of Lincoln, Neb., Arthur, at home; daughter, Mrs. Chet Kennedy of Minden; brother, George Thiel of Carson; a half brother, Herman Heckman of Carson; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a. m. Monday at Lutheran Church at Underwood. The Rev. Cleo D. Hansen, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Cutler Funeral Home is in charge.
