Mrs. Laura Thiel, 59, 405 Damon St., died Monday at a local hospital. Death was due to a heart attack. Mrs. Thiel was a patient there four days.

Mrs. Thiel was born at Minden. She was the widow of Adolph Thiel who died a few years ago.

She was a member of the Underwood Lutheran Church and the Eagles Auxiliary.

Survivors include: two sons, Glenn of Lincoln, Neb., and Arthur at home; daughter, Mrs. Alice Mae Kennedy of Council Bluffs; mother, Mrs. Alice Sperry of Council Bluffs; four sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Hartley of Omaha, Mrs. Mabel Melton of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Thelma Kroeger of Minden, and Mrs. Merle Fowler of Los Angeles, Calif.; five brothers, Corwin and Rolla Sperry, both of Council Bluffs, Wayne of Villisca, Elwood of Treynor, and George of Omaha; and six grandchildren.

Meyer Funeral Home is in charge.
