ATLANTIC - Helen Scott, 86, of Council Bluffs died Dec. 31, 2002, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born April 16, 1916, in Slippery Rock, Pa., to James and Lula Bell (Forrester) Coluter. She attended school in Slippery Rock and was married to Frank Leroy Scott in Des Moines. She lived in Atlantic for a number of years, worked at the Dennis Nursing Home and attended the Nazarene Church. She lived at the Willow Heights Home and retired in the Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs. Needle work and photography were her hobbies, and she visited Alaska several times.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Armor Coluter and James Coluter; a sister, Lois Graham; and a sister-in-law, Blanche Sedelmeyer.

Survivors are her daughter, Linda Flury and husband, Edmon; she had two brothers, Robert Leroy Scott and James David Scott; a niece, Lois Ann Pickins and other nieces and nephews.

There will be a cremation and remains will be buried in Atlantic Cemetery. No services will be held. Roland Funeral Service in Atlantic is in charge of arrangements.
