Viola R. Kermeen

Viola R. Kermeen, 97, of Crescent died Jan. 6 at Bethany Lutheran Home.

She was born May 12, 1905, in rural Loveland to John and Lona (Petersen) Schroder. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Kermeen was preceded in death by her husband, James E. "Jim", on Oct. 18, 1984, and a daughter, Arlene A. Johnson, on Jan. 3, 2003.

Survivors include one daughter, Lois Nihsen, and husband, Grant, of Crescent; one son, Ed, and wife, Janet, of Blair, Neb.; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Chapel. The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Lowell Knauss officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at Grace Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be offered to Grace Presbyterian Church or Presbyterian Outreach.
