Patrick L. Martin

Mass of Christian Burial for Patrick L. Martin, 91, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Neola and Imogene, will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Imogene with the Rev. Dan Kirby officiating.

Mr. Martin died Jan. 5 at Indian Hills Nursing Home.

He was born in Mills County. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He farmed his entire life. He was a lifetime member of St. Patrick's Church in Imogene; Knights of Columbus and its 4th degree Chalice Club; and Mills County Farm Bureau.

Mr. Martin and his wife, Alice, were married 50 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Mary Fischer and husband, John, of Neola, Barbara Lundgren and husband, Jerry, of Omaha and Katie Daly and husband, Patrick, of Clive; four sons, Leo and wife, Sue, of Council Bluffs; Paul of Clive, Carl of Omaha and Mark of West Des Moines; three brothers, Gerald of Council Bluffs, Michael of Shenandoah and Tommy of Scottsbluff, Neb.; and 10 grandchildren.

Rosary recitation will be Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday from noon to 2:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church in Imogene. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Imogene. Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be offered to St. Albert Schools, St. Patrick's Church and Elkhorn Mt. Michaels.
