Donna R. Petersen, age 75, of Council Bluffs, passed away March 20, 2008, at Mercy Hospital.

Donna was born September 27, 1932 in Loup City, Neb., to the late Harry and Anna (Kalkowski) Kalkowski. On September 27, 1952 Donna married Robert H. Petersen and to this union two sons were born. Donna was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church; Rosary Society; Ministry of Praise; NARVE and AARP.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, of 52 years, Robert H. Petersen, in 2005; brother, Harry Kalkowski.

She is survived by two sons, Robert H. Petersen, Jr. and wife Mary, of Granger, Ind., Kurt J. Petersen and wife Amy, of Missouri Valley, Iowa; grandchildren, Robert H. Petersen III, Melissa K. Bennett, Brian P. Petersen, Angela M. Hospodka, April D. Gradoville, Ashley R. Petersen; great grandchildren, Caleb Petersen, Cody Petersen, Cole Bennett; sister, Dorothy Funke and husband Steve; brother, Jack Kalkowski and wife Janice, all of Omaha, Neb.; nieces and nephews.

Rosary recitation led by the Holy Family Rosary Society, Monday, 4 p.m. Wake service, Monday, 7 p.m., both at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, 10 a.m., at Holy Family Church, with Rev. Dan Kirby, pastor, officiating. Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery, with a lunch following at Holy Family Church.

Memorials to the church preferred.
