Phyllis L. Parish, age 90, of Underwood, Iowa passed away March 20, 2008, at Bethany Lutheran Home.

Phyllis was born December 15, 1917, in Underwood to the late Philip and Louise (Geise) Geise. She graduated from Underwood High School in 1936. Phyllis was a mail carrier and postal clerk for 15 years retiring in 1979. She was a member of Underwood Lutheran Church and an original member of UMBA Hall.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Parish in 1968; daughter, Mary Lea Parish; sister, Esther Johnsen; brothers, Darrel and Donald Geise.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda O'Doniel, Nancy Kinney and husband Warren all of Underwood; 5 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.

Visitation with the family, Monday, 6-8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service, Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary with Rev. Dr. Eberhard A. Hering officiating. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery. A lunch will follow at the UMBA Hall in Underwood.
