Florence Piittmann Pflugshaupt

WALNUT - Florence Piittmann Pflugshaupt, 93, of Walnut died Jan. 2 in Albany, Ill. She was a lifelong resident of the Hancock, Walnut and Minden area.

She was born in James Township in Pottawattamie County and graduated from Hancock High School.

She was a homemaker and worked at Peace Haven Retirement Home for 14 years.

She was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut.

She was preceded in death in 1984 by her husband of 55 years, Harry Pflugshaupt.

Survivors include a daughter, Norma Jean Allman Piittmann and husband, Delman, of Albany; two brothers, Raymond Piittmann of Avoca, Wilbert Piittmann and wife, Kathy, of Oakland; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Knutson Funeral home in Walnut.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in Walnut with the Rev. Randy Allman officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Cemetery. Family committal service will be at 11 a.m.

There will be a celebration of life luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the church following the committal services and prior to the celebration of life service.

Memorials may be offered to Peace United Church of Christ or Peace Haven Retirement Home.

Knutson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
