William K. Gilkerson

Graveside services for William Keith Gilkerson, 82, of Council Bluffs will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Steel Cemetery in Falls City, Neb., with the Rev. Roxie Sullivan officiating.

Mr. Gilkerson died Jan. 1 at home.

He was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Vesta, Neb., to Ralph and Neva (Tolles) Gilkerson. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He worked for Williams Pipe Line as lead rackman.

Mr. Gilkerson was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva, on Jan. 11, 1991. They were married 35 years.

Survivors include two sons, John of Omaha and Tony of Council Bluffs; one sister, Beatrude Leget, of Gault, Mo.; three brothers, Elmer of Marietta, Ga., Harry of Little Rock, Ark., and Robert of Livingston, Texas; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at McCurdy Chapel.
