Aaron Michael Hicks

Aaron M. Hicks, age 26, of Council Bluffs, passed away March 9, 2008, from injuries suffered from a motor vehicle accident on 23rd Ave.

Aaron was born August 7, 1981, in Council Bluffs to Gaylin and Christine (Thomas) Hicks. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1999. Aaron was a machine operator at Drake-Williams Steel in Omaha for the past 4 years.

He was a member of South Omaha Church of God, Eagles Club, Aerie #104. He loved NASCAR and #88, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.

Aaron was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Hicks in 1975; grandfather, Gene Thomas; grandparents, Merlin and Margaret Hicks; Uncle, Terry Thomas.

He is survived by his parents, Gaylin and Chris Hicks of Council Bluffs; sister, Rachel Marie Wellman and husband Terry of Neola; grandmother, Joyce Thomas of Omaha; aunts, uncles, cousins; two nieces.

Visitation with the family, Wednesday, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Queen of the Apostles Church, 34th and 3rd Ave.

Funeral service, Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Ronnie Riddle officiating.

A lunch will follow the service at the Eagles Club, 1530 Ave. F.

The family will direct memorials.
