In Memory: Opal C. Driver

Opal Clara Driver, 89, of Council Bluffs died January 28 at Indian Hills Nursing Center.

She was born November 13, 1914, in Boomer Township, Pottawattamie County, to James and Helen (Witt) Driver. She was a seamstress for Pendleton Woolen Mills in Omaha for 28 years. She was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, James Royer, in 1983, and sisters, Gertrude Royer in 1980 and Pearl L. Driver on November 12, 2003.

Survivors include niece; Nadine Trede, and husband, Jim, of Underwood; nephews, John Royer of Council Bluffs, Bert Royer and wife, Jane, of Underwood; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Tiaden officiating. Visitation was held Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial was in Grange Cemetery in Honey Creek.

Memorials may be offered to Timothy Lutheran Church.
