Irmgard Marie Nawrocki

Irmgard Marie Nawrocki, age 79, of Council Bluffs, passed away March 6, 2008, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Irma was born April 27, 1928, in Germany to the late Helmut and Hedwig Wussow. She immigrated to the United States in 1951. Irma was a homemaker; a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother who always put others first. She was looking forward to being with her husband, Chris who passed away in 1995. Irma was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Freida; brother, Hans.

Irma is survived by her daughter, Doris Prchal and husband, Chuck, of Mission Viejo, Calif; sons, Deiter Nawrocki and wife, Pat, of Des Moines, Robert "Rocky" Nawrocki, of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Kristin Faller, James Nawrocki, Charlie Prchal, Allison Nawrocki; sisters, Greta and Lene; brother, Helmut, all in Germany.

Visitation with the family, Sunday, 4:30-6:00 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service, Monday, 9:00 a.m. at the mortuary with Rev. Dr. Eberhard A. Hering officiating.

Interment Memorial Park Cemetery with a lunch following at St. John's United Church of Christ, 400 Cloverdale Dr.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
