In Memory: Lawrence Hines

Lawrence Francis Hines, 68 of Marshalltown died August 14 at Veterans Home in Marshalltown.

He was born November 12, 1934, in Walnut to Herman and Meta (Kobe) Hines. He previously lived in Atlantic, Neola and Minden. He was a high school graduate. He served in the U. Force from 1957-1964. He was a laborer. He was of the Catholic faith and a lifetime member of the DAV.

Mr. Hines and his wife, Vivian (Long-Christensen), were 16 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Neal and Robert Hines.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two stepsons, Bob and John L. Christensen, both of Atlantic; one sister, Margaret Watkins, of Omaha.

Private services will be held at a later date. The body has been cremated; there will be no viewing.

Burial of ashes will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Neola at a later date. Cutler-O'Neil-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
