In Memory: June E. Jensen

The funeral for June Elizabeth Jensen, 88, of Council Bluffs was held Monday at 9 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with Elders Tom and Tim Arnolf officiating. `

Mrs. Jensen died September 26 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

She was born June 12, 1916, in rural Pottawattamie County to Oscar and Mabel Driver Hough. She was a clerk at The Holly Shop and later at Johnson's Pharmacy. She was a member of Community of Christ Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl F., on February 28, 2000. She was also preceded in death by grandsons, Troy Good and Chad Owens; great-grandson, Jason Davis; and two sisters.

Survivors include daughters, Judy White and husband, Dan of U.S.A., Jean Smith and husband, Robert, of Green Valley Lake, California, and Julie Vickery and husband, Warren, of Sergeant Bluff; sons, Dean and wife, Carol, of LaVista, Nebraska, and Gary of Gilbert, Arizona; nine grandchildren; sister, Virginia Hemmingsen, and husband, Franklin, of Council Bluffs; brother, Rue Hough, and wife, LaVerna, of Council Bluffs.

Visitation with the family was held at the funeral home.

Burial was in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
