In Memory: James Thompson

James E. Thompson, 44, of Council Bluffs, died May 4 at home.

He was born July 5, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, to Eugene and Beulah C. (Wiegart) Thompson. He was a 1977 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School. He served in the U.S. Navy, from 1977 to 1981. He was a former computer operator for the city of Port Charlotte, Florida.

Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his sister, Lorraine Renwanz in 1993.

Survivors include his mother, Beulah C. Thompson of Council Bluffs; sister, Kay Dollar, of Fort Dodge; five brothers, Kenneth of Persia, Barry of Council Bluffs, Doug of Otho, Veral of Baxter and Carlyle of Des Moines; nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services were held at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.
