In Memory: Harvey L. Avis

Harvey L. Avis, 65, of Under-wood, died September 1 at the Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine.

Survivors include his children, James "Jim" Avis of Underwood, Gerald "Jerry" Avis of Council Bluffs and Nancy and husband, Russell Swanson of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Evelyn Avis, of Woodbine; three sisters, Carole and husband, Ron Heck, of Perry, Marlene Rodenburg of Underwood, Shirley Husz of Norwalk; two brothers, Alan Avis and wife, Karen, of Boone, Merle Avis of Treynor.

Private family memorial services were held with burial at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap.
