In Memory: Albert Jensen

Albert J. Jensen, 80, of Minden died May 19 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

He was born in Omaha and had lived in California before he moved to Minden 11 years ago.

He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Haggard for six years and served in the U.S. Army for four years. He owned and operated Jensen Machine, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Minden Community Club, the American Bowlers Congress, the American Legion post in Minden and the Shriners.

Mr. Jensen was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary, on April 10, 1991.

Survivors include three sons, John Steven and wife, Darlene, of Fresno, California, Franklin Dean of Neola and David Winston of Minden; a sister, Lois Kenealy and husband, Al, of Neola; a brother Robert, and wife, Loretta, of Neola; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and a friend, Lois Kahler, of Minden.

Visitation with the family was held Monday evening from 7 to 8 at the Minden United Church of Christ with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral was held Tuesday at the church with Pastor Denny Peterson officiating.

Burial was in the Minden Cemetery.
