In Memory: Adele Stortenbecker

Adele D. Stortenbecker, 87, of Council Bluffs, died April 4 at Oakand Manor Nursing Center.

She was born December 11, 1913, in Council Bluffs to Albin and Ida (Gunderson) Fox. She was a homemaker and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Stortenbecker and her husband, Louis H. Sr., were married October 23, 1935.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Carolin Copperstone, and husband, Charles, of Malvern; a son, Louis H. Jr., and wife, Rose, of Council Puffs; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A prayer service was held Friday at 7 p.m. at Cutler Funeral Home, followed by visitation with the family until 8. Funeral was field Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Lowell Knauss officiating. Burial was in Ridgewood Cemetery, followed by a lunch at Grace Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be offered to Grace Presbyterian Church or the Treynor Fire and Rescue.
