Norbert D. McKee

Norbert D. McKee, 68 years, of Minden, Iowa, passed away February 27, 2008, at Life Care Center in Omaha.

He was born March 4, 1939, in Oakland, Iowa to the late Harry Warren and Leone (Weaver) McKee.

Norbert moved to Council Bluffs in 1953 and was a 1958 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and served from 1959 to 1962 in the U.S. Navy. He previously resided in the Oakland and Carson area. He was a self employed rock hauler and was a member of Harvest Alliance Church in Minden.

He was preceded in death by son, Michael in 1996; and brother, Wilbert McKee.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Judy (Johnson) McKee of Minden, Iowa; son, Brent McKee and wife Miranda of Neola, Iowa; Grandchildren, Sydney, Tatum and Haley McKee; Michael's stepchildren, Britney Marsh and Wallace Franks; sister, Charlotte Laisle and husband Ted of Omaha, Neb.; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Ray Peters and Pastor Bob Thompson officiating.

Burial will be at Macedonia, Iowa Cemetery with graveside military honors provided by Carson American Legion Post #556, a luncheon will be served at 2:30 p.m., Minden Legion Hall. Memorials will be directed by the family.
