Gladys J. Dryak

Gladys J. Dryak, 86, of Council Bluffs died Jan. 1 at Loess Hills Nursing & Rehab.

She was born Aug. 25, 1916, in Council Bluffs to Martin and Dorthea (Pedersen) Mortensen. She was a 1934 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School. She was a clerk at her parents' grocery store, Mortensen's Grocery, for many years.

Mrs. Dryak was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin L., in 1999.

Survivors include one son, David Dryak, of Council Bluffs.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Clevenger of Fifth Avenue Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
