Tom Nichols
Avoca - Funeral services were held Sunday at the Blust funeral home for Tom Nichols, 88, pioneer resident of Pottawattamie county, the Rev. M. A. Banker of Hancock in charge. Burial was in Avoca cemetary.

Mr. Nichols had lived for 57 years on a farm near Avoca. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. James Hutzell of Mason City, a niece, Miss Bertha Nichols; eight grandchildren and 13 great granchildren.

Miss Bertha Nichols is actually Miss Gertha Nichols.
