Bernice M. Phillips

Bernice Mable Phillips, 86, of Council Bluffs and formerly of Red Oak, died Dec. 26 at Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs.

She is survived by a daughter, Kay Stock and her husband, Richard, of Council Bluffs; two granddaughters, Marnice Kimzey and her husband, Randall, of Aurora, Colo., and Kirstin Thornton and her husband, Robert, of Atlantic; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna Stennett of Oakland; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Sellergren-Lindell-Demarce Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak, with the Rev. Duane King officiating.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Hysham House in Red Oak, Presbyterian Church in Red Oak, and the Alzheimer's Association.

Sellergren-Lindell-De-Marce Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
