Mabel A. Husz

Mabel Alvina (Goos) Husz, 104, of Council Bluffs died Dec. 26 at Risen Son Christian Village.

She was born April 26, 1898, in Keg Creek Township near Mineola to Carl and Cora (Rath) Goos. She lived most of her life in the Treynor area, and had resided at Risen Son since 1990. She was a member of Zion Congregational Church in Treynor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Husz, on May 30, 1990. They were married Sept. 21, 1921.

Survivors include two daughters, Lois L. Chambers of Treynor and Ada D. Johnson of Council Bluffs; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and two great-great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Zion Congregational Church in Treynor with the Rev. Alan Hardy officiating. Burial will be at Zion Congregational Cemetery in Treynor followed by lunch at the church.

Memorials may be offered to Zion Congregational Church, the Treynor Community Center or Hospice Preferred Choice.
